Getting Here

Klipvley is near Alldays in Limpopo, South Africa. Get in touch before setting off so we can help you plan the final part of your journey.

Travelling by Road

Request the entrance pin and driving directions before you leave. Save these on your phone for offline use, as cellphone reception near the farm can be limited.

Let us know your expected arrival time and contact us if your plans change along the way.

Flying into South Africa

Share your proposed airport, flight times and group size before confirming your travel plans. We can discuss the onward journey to Klipvley and any airport transfer requirements with you.

Confirm transfer costs, meeting points and luggage arrangements in advance. If you are bringing hunting equipment, mention this when planning your transfer.

What to Bring

Pack for time outdoors, comfortable days at camp and cooler early mornings and evenings. Ask us what weather to expect during your stay.

For the Bush

  • Comfortable, worn-in walking shoes.
  • Neutral-coloured clothing and a warm jacket or fleece.
  • A sun hat, sunglasses and sunscreen.
  • Binoculars and a camera, if you enjoy birdwatching or photography.

Personal Essentials

  • Travel documents and booking details.
  • Personal toiletries and insect repellent.
  • Chargers and a suitable South African plug adapter.
  • Enough personal and prescribed medication for your full trip.

Firearm & Bow Hire

We recommend hiring a firearm or bow from the farm for your hunt. Bringing your own firearm into South Africa can be a complicated process, and we do not recommend it.

If you choose to bring your own firearm or bow, you do so at your own risk and expense. Please discuss your plans with us before making travel arrangements.

Let us know your preferred hunting method when enquiring so we can confirm suitable equipment, availability and hire costs.

Help Us Prepare for Your Group

Tell us about dietary requirements, food allergies, mobility needs and any relevant medical conditions for everyone travelling, including non-hunting guests and children.

Please share sensitive medical details privately with us during the booking process rather than through the general enquiry form.

Each guest should bring enough personal medication for the full stay, including any prescribed emergency medication. Let us know beforehand if medication needs special storage.

A Note on Gratuities

Gratuities are entirely optional. If you would like to leave a tip for your field guides, please speak to your host so it can be shared equally among all guides assigned to your group.

Continuing into Botswana?

If your plans include wildlife viewing, birdwatching or fishing in the Okavango Panhandle, speak to the Klipvley family about your onward journey. A visit to Chobe or time on the water needs its own itinerary, travel and accommodation arrangements.

Discuss the details and costs separately from your Klipvley stay.
